Improving Policing for Wormen
Hosted by Australasian Council of Women and Policing and Queensland Police Service, Brisbane, July 1999
The Conference themes were aligned with the objects of the Council: improving the relationship between policing and women within the community; improving the position of women within policing; and in establishing a global network of women in policing.
180 delegates attended the conference with 30 guest presenters. Recommendations from the conference have been submitted to the Australasian Police Ministers Council and the Police Senior Officers' Group which consists of police commissioners from Australasian jurisdictions. The Council also progressing recommendations from the conference through other sources.
