An outstanding commitment to improving policing services for women through
her devoted leadership, mentoring and innovative problem solving. She
has developed best practice in providing policing services to women through
policy review.
Hellweg Bravery Award
Julie Middlemiss
New South Wales Police Force
Inspirational for her outstanding leadership, loyalty, professionalism
and courage to “tackle the very uphill battle” and overhaul
the entrenched behaviours of staff, instilling fair and equitable practices
to set the standards ensuring accountability, and integrity were foremost
within the NSWPF Dog Unit.
